ALICE is a super cute little gal, about 1.5 yrs old as of Spring 2012. She weighs in at about 28 lbs. This dog is smart and very willing to comply and learn. She will require a lot of attention and exercise in order to succeed but in the short time she has been here we have already seen lots of improvement. Alice does very well with the other dogs, she will stand up for herself but she does not insist on being the boss. SMILEY IS a really nice young heeler, born in Arizona in the early fall of 2011. He has lots of promise for just about any lifestyle you have to offer him. Smiley has quite a bit of energy but he doesn't have crazy energy, he is just curious and ready to go.He rides well in the car, gets along great with all the other dogs and he is just about cleared on the cats. TRIO IS A YOUNG 3-legged boy, soon to be a yr old here in the early summer of 2012. He enjoys life, he loves people and playing with the other dogs. This guy is good natured and hopeful so he will be a nice companion but another dog would be an asset too. He does have quite a bit of energy since he is so young, but just having 3-legs does help to slow him down. Trio is good with cats, he sleeps all night in the house in his kennel and he walks well on a leash. He is a handsome boy with a very hopeful outlook. LOLITA is a friendly, hopeful gal about 5-6 yrs old, spayed and ready to go. She just loves being with her person, she will follow you around all day and lay next to you when you sit down. Lolita is very much a house dog but she really enjoys going on walks and helping with outside chores. If you are not outside she doesn't want to be there though. EVAN is a happy, enthusiastic, recently neutered male about 2-3 yrs old. He lived on the street for 5 months after his family drove off and left him behind so he lost a lot of faith in people. Now that he has been here with us at FFAA his whole life has changed and he is opening up into a funny and friendly dog. Evan means 'Warrior' and that is how we came up with this name for him. LOUIE is a very special boy, about 1.5 yrs old here in the Spring of 2012. He is neutered, house trained, good with cats and other dogs and he weighs in at about 25 lbs. Louie is so cute,he seems to be mostly beagle as he is light boned and just shows the Bassett mostly in his face. He is easy going and willing and he will fit right into your family to be a faithful companion. HIs energy is medium/minus but he does like to talk some. HUGO is a great 2 yr old neutered male with tons of smarts and personality. This guy was raised in a home with a family so he knows about being in the house, sleeping in bed with the kids and going places in the car. Hugo does have pretty high energy so he does need lots of exercise and entertainment to keep him happy. He would do especially well with another dog to play with all day. ZUMBA is a very fun dog, about 1.5 yrs old in March 2012, spayed and very loving. She is definitely a people dog, she just loves to be with you and help you all day long with whatever you are doing. Zumba is timid with other dogs but as she spends more time here at FFAA she is getting more assertive. She has very high energy so lots of exercise and attention will be a must, this is not a dog you can just leave in the yard all day. REUBEN is a very handsome and friendly guy, about 2-3 yrs old and weighing in at about 20 lbs. He is very outgoing, gets along well with the other dogs, he seems very social. Reuben is a new arrival here at Fur and Feather so we still have more to learn about him. He is just now getting neutered, we think he may have been part of a breeding pair.
